Taaiboschfontein Karoo Farm | Three Sisters, Karoo, Western Cape
When you think of Taaiboschfontein Guest Lodge at the foot of the Nuweveld Mountains in the Three Sisters area in the Karoo you thinkĀ of a table laden with lamb chops, bobotie and sugared pumpkin, an inviting hot shower and a comfy bed to set you on your way again. Taaiboschfontein is situated between Bloemfontein and Cape Town and is a perfect stopover for anyone who appreciates the peace and beauty of the Karoo.
You enjoy true Karoo hospitality too and apart from the sheep farming, the farm is part of the Kromriver Riverine Rabbit Consevancy. The farm itself has a fascinating history and belonged more than a century ago to the Scottish Devenish family from 1890 until 1945. Today the guest lodge offers different kinds of accommodation to suit all their visitors and the rooms all have antique furniture in keeping with the farm’s history and with the splendour of the Karoo.
