Die Eike - logo

Toward the end of the year in October, this part of the Western Cape bursts with activity because this is the time for the renowned annual Breedekloof Outdoor Festival which takes place at different wineries. It’s your time to sample South Africa’s finest award-winning wines, but that’s certainly not all. This is an action-packed time, and you can enjoy live music and heaps of fun outdoor activities which include a number of runs through the vineyards.Β
Die Eike - horseriding
Breedekloof is made up of the Breede River Valley, Goudini, Slanghoek and Rawsonville areas, and during this festival time, accommodation is in particular high demand. Die Eike is highly sought after because people love the old Cape Dutch homestead, which is so typical of this magnificent area. It is set on a working wine and fruit farm and guests just love walking on the farm.Β  The house was originally built in the early 1800β€²s, complete with vineyards and orchards and always those splendid mountain views.
