The Free State is a wonderful place for a holiday, and the wide open spaces are just what you need after the over-populated city. Bethlehem is a large town, beautifully situated along a fertile valley along the Rooiberg Mountains. It is a wheat-growing area, some 240 kilometres north-east of Bloemfontein. Fickburg, where the Cherry Festival is held, is about 88km away.
