Lakenvlei Forest Lodge is loved by people from the city who want to escape the noise, the crowds, and the pollution and escape into fresh country air in a beautiful pine forest. Dullstroom and Belfast are well known for their trout dams, where fly fishing is enjoyed. This beautiful lodge is found about 10km north of Belfast in the Eastern Highlands of Mpumalanga. 

The lodge is found in a wetland area and this has been declared a National Heritage Site. It is the perfect getaway for anyone who appreciates nature and who enjoys outdoor activities such as walking, hiking, fishing, birdwatching, and horseback riding. Lots of people en route to Kruger National Park stop over for a day or two before continuing their journey
