Magalies Wild Game Farm – Magaliesburg

It is in the Magaliesburg Nature Reserve that you will find Magalies Wild Game Farm. What a wonderful getaway you can expect in nature because the birdlife is plentiful and there is game such as as kudu and zebra among many others. There are amazing hiking trails and places to ride your mountain bikes. No motor bikes or quad bikes permitted. There are several kinds of accommodation, from Loerie Cottage to Sunflower Huts to Leopard Bush Camp.

Loerie Cottage sleeps 6 to 8 people in two bedrooms which are en-suite. There is also a loft with beds. The cottages come with a boma, braai facilities and DSTV.

Sunflower Huts sleeps four in two wooden cabins. The huts have own kitchen and bathroom and what’s more it is pet friendly as it has a fenced doggy area complete with a splash pool for your pet to cool down in.

Leopard Bush Camp sleeps up to 6 people and is off-grid with solar-powered lights, There’s a boma and it also has a doggy area.

The farm has a swimming pool overlooking the mountains and there is also a bush picnic area complete with flushing toilet, wash basin and a sink to rinse your dishes in.

What is cool is that on your day of departure, if no-one has booked, you can stay on the farm till everning. That’s really awesome as most places, you have to push off at 10 in the morning of departure day.
