You will find the Black Rhino private game reserve as part of the Pilanesberg National Park and on its northwestern side. The habitat in the area caters to a wide variety of game species, and entrance to the private game reserve is through Black Rhino’s private entrance gate on the western side of the reserve. The Pilanesberg itself is 55,000 hectares and is renowned for its ancient volcanic crater with the Mankwe Lake in the middle.

The diversity of Pilanesberg ensures that it offers a rich diversity of animal and bird life, including the Big 5. Of course, one of the big drawcards of this magnificent nature reserve is that it is malaria-free but insect repellent is always advisable in the hot, rainy season.

Tambuti Lodge is a wonderful big 5 private game lodge surrounded by Tambuti trees and offers its guests a most spectacular safari experience. Children under 6 are not permitted at this lodge.
